Dirphia thliptophana

The Leroy Simon Saturniidae Collection

Dirphia thliptophana
R. Felder & Rogenhofer, 1874

Dirphia thliptophana courtesy of Leroy Simon.

Dirphia thliptophana male, courtesy of Leroy Simon.

Dirphia thliptophana male, Ecuador, courtey of Leroy Simon.

Dirphia thliptophana and Dirphia fraterna are very similar. Due to the shape of the yellow discal marking and shape of the forewing, I would be more inclined to classify the Leroy Simon images on this page as Dirphia fraterna.
