The U.S.G.S. does not list Manduca rustica from Alabama, but this specimen was photographed, May 27, 2004, in Montgomery County, Alabama, courtesy of Marc Huchette and Tim Frantz.

At first I thought it was Dolba hyloeus until Tim mentioned, "This guy is at least 4 inches from head to wing tip."

The U.S.G.S. does not list Isoparce cupressi from Alabama, but Dirk Bayer sent me an image from Bon Secour, Baldwin County, July 18, 2006.
