Sphingidae of Argentina

Salta Province

As of October 2007, this list has been confirmed by the L.O.L.A. publication Hawkmoths of Argentina, More, Kitching and Cocucci, 2005.

Below the checklist for Salta are links to checklists for the other provinces.

Those species followed by WO? are not confirmed for Salta, but I (William Oehlke) suspect they might be present.

Many thanks also to Ezequiel Bustos who has sent me (December 2009) many additions for Salta from the area of Aguas Blancas (405m) near the border with Bolivia.

Ezequiel continues to send me updated, based on his extensive research into collection data, July 2017.
