Please help me improve this site by sending sighting data (species; location [county]; date) to Bill Oehlke. Images are also greatly appreciated and will be used and credited (with permission) on county pages. I will attempt to identify any Sphingidae larvae or adults that are unknown to you.

Those moths followed by my initials (WO) are expected but not confirmed by USGS for Rhode Island. Darapsa choerilus is confirmed based on image sent to me by Chris Fagas on a referal from “What’s That Bug”, an identification service maintained by Daniel Marlos.

Many of my interpolations/extrapolations have been confirmed by Ryan Saint Laurent (RSL). Ryan has also confirmed many of the USGS sightings.

Alex Baranowski has confirmed Darapsa myron in Kingston, Rhode Island, August 26, 2016.

County by county pictoral checklists can be accessed at bottom of this page.
