Sphinx chersis
(Hubner, [1823]) Lethia
Northern Ash Sphinx or Great Ash Sphinx

Joan F. Rickert has sent me many beautiful images, and has documented many Sphingidae species from Medford, Taylor County, Wisconsin.

Many thanks also to her son, who found the larva crawling under an ash tree in his yard.
