Euryglottis guttiventris flies in
Bolivia: [La Paz: Murillo,] Río Songo [Zongo], Garlepp; [Sud Yungas,] Chulumani, 2000m; "Charaplaya", 65°W 16°S, 1300m; La Paz: Murillo, Río Zongo, 750m; Cochabamba: Cochabamba; Yunga del Espíritu Santo;
Ecuador: (MB);
Peru: Huacamayo; Carabaya. CATE; (Oxapampa, 2050m (HM))and
Argentina: Jujuy: Ccalilegua, 1100m, (NV); Salta (JRR), and possibly in Santiago del Estero??.

Abdomen underside with apical spots on sternites 3-5 distinct, more so than in Euryglottis aper; basal patch pale. Forewing upperside with discal band and vein-streaks less distinct than in Euryglottis aper. CATE

FLIGHT TIMES:

Euryglottis guttiventris adults are on the wing in June and December. Nigel venters reports a February flight in Calilegua, Jujuy Province, Argentina.

Hubert Mayer reports a June flight in La Suiza, Oxapampa, Peru.

ECLOSION:

Pupae probably wiggle to surface from subterranean chambers just prior to eclosion.

SCENTING AND MATING:

Females call in the males with a pheromone released from a gland at the tip of the abdomen.
