The more rearing or collecting or photographing that you do, the more likely you are to encounter something rare or unusual.

I am currently developing state by state checklists (eventually county by county) for Catocala species in the United States. I am very interested in receiving sighting imformation (i.e., city/town/county/state; date) and will post that information, credited to source on my site. See the Illinois Catocala page.

If you have high quality electronic images of spread or live moths or their larvae, please send them along and help me build a resource that will help others appreciate and identify these beautiful moths.

On my websites, all pictures displayed are credited to their respective photographers and remain the property of the photographers.
