Hyalophora kasloensis

Hyalophora kasloensis 5th instar courtesy of Scott Smith.

Hi Bill,

This is a 5th instar Hyalophora kasloensis larva. The ova came from a wild collected female near Glacier Park, Whitefish, Montana, just west of the continental divide. These are beautiful larva, unlike other Hyalophora larva in that all dorsal scoli are ruby red; the lateral scoli are now pale blue and without black spines of fourth instar.

Enjoy!
Scott
